Day #1 got off to a rousing start with “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” – you can read some great trivia about this seminal film here:

I kept it on the classics the first few days, which leads to America’s favorite “Scream Queen!”

Jamie Lee Curtis scream queen

Jaime Lee Curtis starred in what many feel is the greatest “Halloween” movie ever – because, well it is called “Halloween!”

John Carpenter Halloween

I offered up some fun trivia on the film, which you can see here:

Eli Roth paid homage to one of the world’s most shocking films on day #4 – the “under-stated” horror classic:

Cannibal Holocaust

Read about Roth’s terrific “The Green Inferno” AND the court case brought against the makers of “Cannibal Holocaust” all right here:

I needed a break from “shocking” – so I went with a different kind of Halloween thrill:

naked cult movies

Yes, there are some great Halloween movies that also featured naked Vampires! See all you need to see right here!

Of course, some movies are “great” films, but boy, are they wildly entertaining!

“Pieces” is certainly not a perfect film, but the blu-ray includes a bonus documentary about New York’s notorious 42nd street of the 70’s – see it here:

Back to some classic horror films – one of the best is this one:

For day #9 of Shocktober, I decided to highlight one of the most iconic – and bizarre – horror films from the early 70’s:

Finally, on day ten I celebrated my friend Sasha Grey’s bloody horror thriller:
